The Sr Engineer II, Electronics is responsible for leading the design, development, verification, and support of complex electronic hardware used in Masimo’s medical device products. This role provides advanced technical contribution across the hardware development lifecycle, including architecture definition, circuit design, board-level implementation, verification, troubleshooting, and sustaining engineering. Working closely with cross-functional partners, this engineer independently drives complex technical solutions, supports critical product decisions, and contributes to product performance, reliability, and compliance objectives.

This position reports to the Sr Director, Instrument Hardware and is part of the Hardware Engineering department located in Irvine, CA and will be an on-site role.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To:

• Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits for medical device applications.
• Support hardware development activities across the engineering lifecycle, including schematic design, implementation, verification, and sustaining engineering.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to integrate hardware solutions into finished products.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute technical input during major project milestones.
• Support product and component failure investigations and recommend corrective design improvements.

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include:

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with 6+ years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting PCB layout, board bring-up, and high-speed design methodologies.
• Familiarity with full product development lifecycle from concept through production.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience designing within medical devices or other regulated product development environments. 
• Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and related compliance standards.
• Experience supporting EMC/EMI design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to signal integrity and power integrity concepts.
• Experience with electrical simulation tools such as PSPICE, Multisim, or equivalent.

The annual salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $120,000 - $155,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. 

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
