Job Description
This position will be responsible for creating and deploying visually appealing and highly interactive Microsoft Power BI based reports and dashboards.
The incumbent would work with Business Analysts to analyze the data and reporting requirements, understand the business needs, and recommend and deliver on the best available metrics and visualizations using Power BI.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:

The focus of the role is to develop Power BI reports that are user friendly and visually impactful

Incorporate native data analysis features of Power BI to translate data into insights and highlight actionable KPIs
-
Develop UI/UX and design language for various Technology reporting themes
-
Devise and implement design principles and ensure all reports adhere to these principles
-
Translate business requirements into documented navigation flows and wireframes
-
Take a simplistic and self-explanatory approach to reporting interface to ensure answers to questions asked by Business Partners are clear and evident
-
Ability to understand customer needs and convert them into deliverables
-
Utilize full potential of Power BI by incorporating the latest features and updates
-
Be the authoritative voice/SME on Power BI for all of Technology
-
Implement row level security and manage access to reports and workspaces
-
Work with Business Analysts to review and prioritize requirements and track to completion
-
Extract data from multiple data sources by configuring Power BI gateways, and using M scripting to connect and refresh the data.

Write complex DAX statements and utilize R to manitpulate and analyze data
-
Special projects as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/FORMAL TRAINING

College degree and/or equivalent work experience
WORK EXPERIENCE
-
7 years overall experience with at least 3 plus years of experience with Microsoft BI Stack
-
At least two years of Power BI reporting experience
-
Comprehensive design experience with knowledge of common desigh tools such as Photoshop
-
Hands on experience with Microsoft Office products, specially Excel
SKILLS
-
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
-
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
-
Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
-
Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to be extremely effective independently

Familiar with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and related Microsoft tools such as Power Pivot
-
Experience in writing simple T-SQL queries to get the necessary data
-
Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines
-
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
-
Understanding of the risks and impact to business of inaccurate and stale data
-
Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources
Working Conditions:

Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.

The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary.
