Your Team

Investment Services Technology group is primarily responsible for all applications within Middle and Back Office areas at Invesco. The team for which the position is being recruited takes care of Workflow Automation of some key business processes like New Account Onboarding, Data Management Office and Reconciliation using custom applications built on Appian BPM tool
Your Role

Manages technology development for new and existing applications, systems architecture, data infrastructure, and machine learning. Maintains and supports applications, reviews system requirements, and codes, tests, debugs, and implements software solutions.

Focuses on planning, designing, and developing software systems using Appian BPM and related integrations. Collaborates with architects, product managers, and end-users to enhance applications.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Provide technology support to the initial implementation and ongoing use of applications built on Appian, a cloud based, low code business process management (BPM) application suite
• Take up design and development of applications using various Appian BPM components like SAIL, Process Modelling, Integration components and Admin Console
• Provide technology support to implementations and ongoing use of Mulesoft and /or Spring Boot APIs which are used in Integrations of Appian with other applications
• Provide support, maintenance, troubleshoot and recommend improvements at the Appian platform level which hosts multiple applications for Invesco
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, architects and other developers to design and implement automation solutions, leveraging Appian, that support the Investment Services business
• Assist project and line managers in producing estimates for the development phase of projects and enhancements
• Understand architecture of applications in order to effectively troubleshoot problems and develop more efficient production processes.

The Experience You Bring:

• Minimum 8 years of proven systems development experience with a combination of Appian BPM tool and Mulesoft API or Java (Spring boot) technologies
• Understanding of relational database design and development life cycle principles
• Solid experience of working in project teams and with third party vendors
• Need to stay abreast of new development tools, methods and recommend adaptability of new features released as part of Appian upgrades
• Experience working in an agile scrum development environment preferred
• Familiarity with business intelligence reporting tools preferred (PowerBI, Tableau) preferred
• Familiarity with DevOps principals preferred
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies preferred
