As a Sr. ER Specialist/Investigator within the Labor and Employee Relations function/Central Investigations Team, you will support investigations matters and employee relations strategy. This role blends hands-on case ownership with root-cause/corrective-action governance and manager enablement. You will manage assigned matters from intake through closure, develop investigation or ER response plans, gather and review relevant information, document factual findings, coordinate handoffs, and help ensure matters are handled timely, fairly, consistently, and confidentially.
The role partners closely with HR, Legal, Compliance, Security, site leadership, HRPs, and business stakeholders to reduce repeat issues, improve documentation quality, and promote a fair, ethical, and respectful workplace.
You will work out of our Charlotte, NC, Houston, TX, or Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities- Lead priority investigations, ER, and investigations matters from intake through closure, ensuring cases are handled timely, thoroughly, fairly, consistently, and confidentially.
- Develop ER or investigation plans, conduct complainant, witness, manager, and subject interviews as appropriate, gather and review relevant evidence, assess credibility, and document factual findings.
- Prepare clear, concise, objective, and well-supported case summaries, findings, corrective-action records, and closure documentation in HR Acuity or designated case systems.
- Strengthen investigations execution across key sites by improving ownership clarity, case hygiene, handoffs, aging discipline, and reopen prevention.
- Embed routines to convert ER trends into root-cause insights, corrective-action accountability, and sustained issue prevention.
- Translate case data, repeat themes, policy gaps, and control opportunities into practical prevention strategies that reinforce a fair, ethical, and respectful workplace.
- Build manager and HR capability through targeted coaching on ER practices, policy application, escalation quality, documentation, and consistent decision-making.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, compliance, ethics, HR business partnership, labor relations, or a related corporate investigation or ER role.
