RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capital project manager for the EHSS department. Interface with day-to-day team to identify opportunities.
- Lead role to verify PSM RMP and elevate critical issues to management if necessary. Train members of the site on PSM and RMP.
- Train and develop new engineers in all Evonik programs supported by EHSSQ: IPREP, NA Rotational and EHSSQ Development.
- Internal consultant in support process safety compliance to ensure timely and accurate solutions to related issues.
- Analyze and evaluate leading and lagging indicators in ESTER to drive performance to the next level in the Region.
- Drive best practices for RMP across the site – stay up to date on newest regulations.
- Support safety aspects for projects related to site expansion and development for the Company and third party companies.
- Participate and/or facilitate process safety related incident investigations to determine root causes.
- Interact with PSM regulated process Management and Engineers to prepare them for periodic Loss Control insurance surveys, PSM audits, OSHA PSM NEP inspections, PHA revalidations and assist with determining appropriate timely resolutions to related findings.
- Maintain all site PSM and RMP procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory, region, and corporate requirements.
- Assist with continual improvement of Evonik systems and work processes for EHSSQ.
- Lead site in Sphera data collection and analysis.
- Facilitate and conduct Security Vulnerability Assessments for sites in the NA Region.
- Support digitalization and continuous improvement throughout EHSSQ department.
REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. in an Engineering or technical discipline is required.
- It is recommended that this candidate have 5-10 years ESH experience in a chemical processing environment or 5 years direct involvement in the development or operations of a PSM process.
- Strong communication skills are a requirement of the position.
- Ability to work in a team and develop relationships across the site and region is essential for success in the role. Additionally, representing the Mobile Site and being a key influencer in all areas related to quality management systems is a plus.
