We Are Looking For

The Sr. Director/VP, Finance is the senior finance leader responsible for division-wide planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support for FDH Electronics. Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with the President and executive leadership team, this role translates strategy into actionable financial plans, provides a clear view of business performance, and drives accountability for revenue, margin, EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital. This leader will build a scalable FP&A organization for a global, multi-site business; strengthen the financial and operating cadence; support organic growth, acquisitions, and integration; and provide high-quality insights to executive leadership and the Board. The position may be filled at the Sr. Director or Vice President level based on the successful candidate’s experience and demonstrated scope.

What You’ll Do

As the Sr. Director/VP, Finance, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategic Planning & Executive Partnership

  • Own the FP&A strategy and operating model for FDH Electronics, ensuring finance capabilities support the division’s priorities and scale with growth.
  • Lead the long-range plan, annual operating plan, rolling forecasts, and financial target-setting process, integrating assumptions across commercial, operational, and functional leaders.
  • Translate the Company’s strategic and investor value-creation priorities into measurable financial objectives, operating plans, and performance initiatives; establish mechanisms to track progress and financial impact.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, President, and executive leadership team, bringing an objective, fact-based perspective to strategic choices and resource allocation.
  • Lead scenario planning and analysis to anticipate risks and opportunities and develop actionable contingency plans.

Performance Management & Decision Support

  • Establish and lead a rigorous monthly and quarterly performance management cadence, including forecasts, business reviews, and action tracking across sites and functions.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and decision-oriented analysis of revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital, and key operating metrics.
  • Diagnose performance drivers – including volume, price, mix, purchase costs, productivity, headcount, inventory, and capital spending – and translate findings into clear recommendations.
  • Define standardized KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards that improve transparency, sharpen accountability, and enable early identification of performance gaps.
  • Challenge assumptions constructively and partner with business leaders to close gaps to plan and improve financial outcomes.

Commercial, Operational & Investment Finance

  • Act as a senior finance partner to Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, HR, and IT on the financial implications of key business decisions.
  • Lead customer, product, channel, and site profitability analysis and support decisions related to pricing, contract economics, product mix, and commercial investment.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve inventory performance, working capital, productivity, capacity utilization, and cost structure.
  • Lead the financial evaluation and prioritization of capital investments, including business cases, return analysis, governance, and post-investment reviews.
  • Lead Finance’s support for acquisitions, including financial due diligence, transaction modeling, synergy assessment, integration planning, and post-close performance tracking.

President and Board Reporting

  • Lead the development of Board, investor, and executive reporting materials, presenting a concise, data-driven, and forward-looking narrative on performance, outlook, risks, and value-creation initiatives.
  • Equip the CFO and President with high-quality analysis, talking points, and recommendations for key internal and external stakeholder discussions.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity across forecasts, management reporting, and strategic analysis in close partnership with Accounting and other finance teams.

Team & Organizational Leadership

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, geographically dispersed FP&A team with clear roles, standards, priorities, and service expectations.
  • Create a culture of ownership, intellectual curiosity, constructive challenge, and executive-ready communication.
  • Develop talent and succession plans through coaching, feedback, stretch opportunities, and targeted capability building.
  • Foster strong collaboration across Finance and the broader organization and lead special projects and other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required. MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant advanced credential strongly preferred.
  • Typically 12 or more years of progressive finance experience, including substantial leadership responsibility within FP&A or a closely related finance function.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise- or division-level FP&A in a complex, multi-site, and global organization; experience operating at the head of function, Senior Director, or VP level.
  • Experience in aerospace and defense, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or another operationally complex environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a private equity-backed, high-growth, or transformation-oriented business, including Board or investor reporting, strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, integration, and value-creation initiatives preferred.
  • Expertise in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, performance management, and finance business partnering.
  • Strong operational finance acumen across margin, inventory, working capital, cash flow, productivity, and capital allocation.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and an executive-level financial narrative.
  • Strong command of ERP and planning/reporting technologies.
  • Proven ability to build teams, improve processes, and influence senior leaders through periods of growth and change.
  • Enterprise thinking and sound commercial judgment.
  • Executive presence, influence, and the courage to constructively challenge.
  • Clear, concise communication and financial storytelling.
  • Execution & People Leadership
