Your role
As Senior Director, Total Rewards, you will lead the strategy, design, and execution of our global compensation and benefits programs. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, ensuring our Total Rewards philosophy supports business objectives while attracting, motivating, and retaining top talent.
What you’ll be doing
Lead Total Rewards strategy by aligning compensation, benefits, and recognition programs with business goals and workforce needs
Advise executive leadership on reward philosophy, market trends, and organizational impact
Oversee compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and executive compensation, ensuring competitiveness and internal equity
Drive benefits strategy, balancing cost, compliance, and participant experience across health, retirement, and wellness programs
Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and cost management of Total Rewards programs
Own annual processes such as merit cycles, bonus planning, and open enrollment
Ensure compliance with all compensation and benefits regulations, including pay equity and wage laws
Leverage data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and guide decision-making
Lead and develop the Total Rewards team, building scalable processes to support growth
Partner cross-functionally with HR, HRIS, Payroll, and business leaders to optimize systems and execution
What you bring
10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or Benefits leadership
Proven experience supporting executive compensation and working with senior leadership
Strong intuition for business with the ability to translate strategy into actionable programs
Deep expertise in compensation design, market analysis, and pay structures
Experience managing benefits strategy and vendor relationships
Analytical approach with the ability to bring to bear data for decision-making
Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications (CCP, CBP) preferred
Location
Hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO (with additional presence in Chicago as needed)
