The Opportunity

As the Senior Director and Business Product Owner for Targeting & Recommendation, you will spearhead the strategic vision and delivery of high-impact analytics products across the enterprise. You will bridge the gap between complex data science and actionable business strategy, ensuring our targeting and predictive capabilities drive superior customer engagement and patient outcomes. You are the "CEO" of your product suite, responsible for prioritizing investments, evangelizing innovation, and ensuring that digital-forward solutions are seamlessly integrated into the daily workflows of our commercial, medical, and access teams. Beyond product excellence, you will build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of agility, psychological safety, and continuous learning. Your success is measured not only by the performance of your tools but by your ability to cultivate talent and drive a unified vision across a complex, cross-functional landscape.

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for Targeting and Recommendation products, aligning innovation with enterprise digital transformation goals and the product portfolio lifecycle.

  • AI & Predictive Innovation: Partner with Data Science to integrate advanced ML and AI into the product core, "supercharging" predictive modeling and next-best-action (NBA) capabilities.

  • Operational & Financial Stewardship: Optimize product budgets and resource allocation through ruthless prioritization, balancing high-ROI initiatives with long-term architectural health and technical feasibility.

  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as a lead evangelist to senior stakeholders while collaborating with technical and field teams to ensure a unified "one-face-to-customer" omnichannel experience.

  • User Excellence & Change Management: Drive product adoption by championing intuitive UX/UI design and partnering with learning teams to deliver comprehensive upskilling and change management programs.

  • Performance & Market Intelligence: Establish rigorous OKRs to measure product impact on business decision-making while monitoring industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.

  • People Leadership & Governance: Lead and develop a high-performing team in a culture of accountability and engagement, ensuring all product development adheres to strict legal, regulatory, and internal policies.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, operations, science, or a related field. 

  • 12+ years of experience, with 5+ years in product management, digital product operations, or equivalent experience in the healthcare industry (pharmaceuticals, biotech, digital health, or med-tech). 

  • Proven ability to lead the full product lifecycle for large-scale enterprise analytics platforms and exceptional communication skills with a track record of navigating complex matrixed environments, driving user adoption, and leading organizational change management for new tools.

  • Deep technical proficiency in field effectiveness (targeting, call planning, sizing) and omnichannel analytics (paid/owned/earned media) to drive "next-best-action" strategies.

  • Extensive experience partnering with Data Science and Machine Learning teams to build sophisticated modeling pipelines and "supercharge" analytics capabilities with AI-driven insights.

This position is based in South San Francisco, CA and offers a hybrid schedule working in office 3 days per week. 

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $203,500.00 - $377,900.00.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
