About the team and what we'll build together

As the lead Financial Analyst and Strategic Consultant in the Financial Modeling Center of Excellence (COE) at Kobie, you will be the financial architect behind our most ambitious client engagements. You'll transform complex customer and business data into compelling investment cases, scenario models, and commercially grounded program designs that empower clients to make confident, board-level loyalty decisions. Working at the intersection of data science, financial modeling, and loyalty strategy, you'll combine institutional rigor with strategic storytelling, translating quantified insights into clear business narratives that resonate with executive teams.

This is not a back-office finance role. You will be an active participant in client engagements, co-presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders, translating financial insight into strategy, and ensuring every program recommendation is anchored in defensible business value. You'll collaborate closely with Kobie's strategy, analytics, technology, and client services teams, moving fluidly between modeling sprints, client work sessions, and executive presentations. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, thrives in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, and brings both the rigor of institutional analysis and the communication fluency of a senior management consultant. You're a problem-solver who sees financial modeling not as an end, but as the foundation for breakthrough strategy.

How you will make an impact
    • Design, Evolve & Optimize Loyalty & Engagement Programs: Serve as a trusted partner to clients, designing, evolving, and optimizing loyalty, retention, or engagement programs (for B2C or B2B) by developing investment business cases that quantify the financial impact of loyalty program design choices, including member tier architecture, reward currency, earn/burn mechanics, and benefit structures that align with clients’ broader business goals.

    • Lead and Deliver: Partner with cross-functional Kobie teams to develop and deliver multi-year loyalty program financial models covering revenue lift, member acquisition and retention economics, redemption cost, and program ROI, calibrated to client-specific data.  Serve as the financial analytics lead on client engagements, working alongside loyalty strategists, experience designers, and technology architects in cross-functional delivery teams. Provide actionable recommendations and loyalty strategies that align with clients’ business objectives and customer needs.

    • Solution & Analyze: Synthesize research and data analysis into insights and recommendations for senior-level clients. Translate financial model outputs into actionable loyalty strategy insights, connecting economics to design choices. Assess and financially model program design and technology migration paths, including cost of switching, and phased implementation scenarios.

    • Tell Data Stories: Communicate fact-based, defensible points of view effectively to internal and external stakeholders. Author the Financial Analysis and Business Case sections of client deliverables, including executive summaries suitable for C-suite and board presentation. Present financial models and business case findings directly to senior client audiences, including CFOs, CMOs, and loyalty program executives, with the confidence and clarity of a seasoned consultant.

    • Provide Thought Leadership: Monitor and apply relevant market research, industry trends, and best practices.  Contribute to the development and refinement of Kobie's proprietary financial modeling frameworks, templates, and business case methodologies for the loyalty consulting practice. Build and maintain a library of loyalty industry financial benchmarks for topics like member lift, redemption economics, program ROI, and CLV data, spanning retail, financial services, travel, and CPG. Publish internal and external POVs, case studies, and frameworks.

    • Manage Execution: Oversee scope and deliverables for multiple financial modeling projects and/or clients, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.  Manage client data requests and financial data quality assurance, ensuring models reflect accurate and current business inputs. Proactively identify financial risks, assumptions, gaps, and sensitivities in client engagements and communicate them clearly to project leadership.

What you need to be successful
    • Loyalty Program Expertise: Proven experience in the design, implementation,  evolution and financial performance of loyalty programs, ensuring they effectively engage customers and drive business results (either B2C or enterprise / B2B) in alignment with the financial business goals and parameters of our clients.

    • Cross-Industry / Vertical Perspective: Experience across at least two verticals (e.g. financial services, travel, entertainment, telecom, B2B services) and ability to adapt financial modeling frameworks, KPIs and outputs across sectors.

    • Loyalty Marketing Analyst: Deep understanding of the financial modeling and business case requirements and loyalty and/or marketing best practices (rewards earn and redemption, liability management, CRM, digital marketing, CX). Expertise in financial modeling for digital marketing, personalization, omni-channel communication planning, and lifecycle campaign activation.

    • Strategic Consulting: Ability to become a trusted advisor to clients through the use of soft skills and thoughtful, strategic recommendations. Skilled in building long-term relationships based on trust and delivering value through consultative approaches.

    • Results-Oriented: Efficiently aligns time, budget, and stakeholders to achieve quality outcomes that match organization priorities. Takes personal responsibility through planning and communication.

    • Grit: Comfortable working independently on tough assignments. Balances autonomy with the awareness of when to ask for help. Quickly recalibrates after failures to move forward during challenges.

    • Influence: Possesses strong presence and gravitas. A data-driven strategy storyteller with the ability to clearly present and influence ideas and concepts. Shares information with a team-first mentality.

    • Curiosity: Proactively seeks ways to advance skills. An active listener who provides and receives timely, direct, unbiased, and actionable performance feedback.

    • Savvy: Analyzes situations with critical thinking to develop and implement solutions in a high-ambiguity, fast-paced environment. Comfortable navigating grey areas and can simplify complexity.

    • Inclusion: Invites diverse perspectives and shares ownership and visibility. Eliminates silos to tackle problems and advance work.

    • Bachelor's degree and prior loyalty marketing experience required.

    • 10+ years of experience in marketing, loyalty, customer engagement, or consulting.

    • Demonstrated experience in loyalty / engagement or CRM consulting (B2C and/or B2B).

    • Ideal candidate will have category knowledge in Retail with additional experience in one or more verticals: retail, consumer products, financial services, or travel and hospitality.

    • Preferred candidate will have experience with global loyalty programs using programmatic and non-programmatic approaches. Preferences also include candidates with Cobrand, Multi-brand, and/or Paid Program experience.
