As a Sr. Director R&D and Innovation Strategy here at Honeywell, you will be at the forefront of shaping our technology vision and strategy, driving innovation and ensuring alignment with our business objectives. You will report directly to our VP Technology Transformation, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the strategic direction of our technology initiatives, ensuring they contribute to the overall success of the organization. By guiding your team and collaborating with key stakeholders, you will help drive digital transformation and enhance our competitive edge in the market.
ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide visionary leadership for R&D/engineering strategy development, including the implementation of the Honeywell technology STRAP across all business units and regional STRAP initiatives.
- Support the CTOs of business units to develop the R&D roadmap to align with STRAP, business goals, and market trends.
- Drive innovation through the exploration of emerging technologies and methodologies, including the development of predictive models and GDM.
- Facilitate co-creation opportunities with internal and external customers to enhance product offerings and market competitiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize the R&D initiatives that drive operational efficiency.
- Oversee the execution of R&D strategies, ensuring alignment with industry trends and best practices.
- Influence University Relations strategy ensuring strong pipeline of early career talent into R&D organization.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 8 or more years of experience in R&D of buildings, industrial, or process automation strategy and influencing senior leaders to align and execute an overarching strategy
- Must have experience in software strategy definition/execution
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen to drive technological initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Proven expertise in developing and executing technology strategies that foster innovation.
- Experience with emerging technologies and their application in a business context.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools to ensure effective execution of technology initiatives.
