eBay is seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and highly collaborative Senior Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the company’s enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management processes. This leader will play a critical role in shaping eBay’s financial strategy, providing actionable insights that inform business decisions, optimize resource allocation, and support sustainable long-term growth. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, the Senior Director will bring a combination of financial expertise, business acumen, and intellectual curiosity to help navigate the opportunities and complexities of a dynamic global marketplace.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of FP&A, this leader will partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership team, and finance leaders across the organization to translate financial performance into meaningful business insights and strategic recommendations. The successful candidate will bring experience leading Corporate FP&A within a complex, publicly traded company, with a demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. This individual will be an exceptional communicator, capable of distilling complex financial and business issues into clear, compelling narratives that inform executive decision-making and support investor and Board-level communications.

Beyond delivering financial rigor and operational excellence, this leader will help shape the continued evolution of eBay’s finance organization. They will challenge conventional approaches, champion simplification and standardization, and leverage emerging technologies, including AI-enabled analytics, advanced data visualization, and end-to-end process automation, to enhance forecasting capabilities, accelerate insights, and enable more effective decision-making. Equally important, this individual will be an inspiring people leader who builds high-performing teams, fosters collaboration, and creates a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Financial Planning & Performance: Lead eBay’s corporate financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting processes, ensuring financial rigor, consistency, and alignment with enterprise priorities.
  • Strategic Business Partnership: Partner with the VP of FP&A to provide the CFO and executive leadership team with forward-looking financial perspectives, challenge assumptions, and inform critical business and investment decisions.
  • Long-Term Strategic Planning: Drive the financial components of eBay’s long-range planning process, partnering across Finance and the business to evaluate growth opportunities, strategic investments, financial trade-offs, and enterprise resource allocation.
  • Executive Financial Communications: Develop compelling financial narratives, analyses, and presentations that support executive leadership discussions, investor communications, and Board reporting, translating complex information into actionable insights.
  • Financial Analysis & Decision Support: Lead high-impact analytical initiatives to assess business performance, identify emerging trends, evaluate risks and opportunities, and inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business unit Finance leaders, Investor Relations, Controllership, Treasury, Tax, and other key stakeholders to strengthen financial alignment, streamline reporting, and support enterprise-wide decision-making.
  • Finance Transformation & Innovation: Champion the modernization of financial planning and reporting capabilities through process simplification, scalable systems, intelligent workflow automation, and thoughtful adoption of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to improve efficiency, forecast accuracy, and the quality of financial insights.
  • Advanced Data Visualization & Reporting: Drive the transition from static reporting to dynamic, self-service dashboards, empowering stakeholders with real-time, interactive financial insights.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish consistent financial frameworks, reporting standards, and performance metrics while identifying opportunities to eliminate non-value-added activities and enable Finance to focus on higher-impact strategic work.
  • Organizational Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing Corporate FP&A team, fostering a culture of intellectual curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Change Leadership: Help advance the broader transformation of eBay’s Finance organization, challenging established practices, navigating ambiguity, and driving sustainable improvements in how Finance partners with the business.
