Your role as the Senior Director of Community Impact – Fundraising and Operations:    

 

In this role you will support the organization's community impact and foundation affairs initiatives by helping develop and execute programs that strengthen the club's connection to the community. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Public Affairs & Community Impact, this role leads key outreach efforts, manages strategic community partnerships, supports binational initiatives, and oversees programs that create meaningful and measurable impact throughout the region.

  • Support the Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Community Impact in developing and executing the organizations comprehensive community impact strategy
  • Lead the development and delivery of clear, compelling communications that effectively articulate the organization's community impact initiatives, program outcomes, and strategic priorities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee fundraising efforts and programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for community partners and assist in cultivating new partnership opportunities
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that create meaningful and measurable outcomes for the community
  • Oversee the Padres 50/50 Raffle program, including management and development of team members and day-to-day operations  
  • Support the internal planning, coordination and execution of Foundation and Community Impact programs, initiatives, and special projects
  • Maintain community impact reporting and program metrics to measure effectiveness and demonstrate organizational impact
  • Support binational community engagement efforts and partnerships that strengthen the organization’s impact across the region
  • Align community efforts with organizational values, business objectives, and community needs
  • Lead internal cross-department planning and coordination

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most:

                               

  • Strong communications and messaging background
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc., and general knowledge of basic office equipment including copier, laser printer, telephone, and computer
  • Ability to effectively work well with others in a collaborative, respectful manner
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with capacity to handle high volumes of detailed work, multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines
  • Maintain professional demeanor with a high degree of discretion, integrity, and accountability
  • Maintain consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance

You will be required to meet the following:


  • Fluently bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, compelling messaging, talking points, and briefing materials. Must have strong public speaking skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment
  • Minimum of a four (4) year Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Communication, Business, Social Work or a related field
  • 5-7 years of previous experience in community relations, philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, foundation management or community impact is preferred
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and community leaders in a professional and strategic manner
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed
  • Able to travel as needed
  • Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds
  • As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check

 

Pay and additional compensation:

Per the California pay transparency law, the base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 to $95,000. As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, job-related skills and any other factors the San Diego Padres considers relevant to the hiring decision for this position.

In addition to the base salary, the Padres believe in providing a very competitive and generous compensation and benefits package for its employees.
