Position Summary
The Senior Director, Insider Threat, is responsible for developing and leading the company's global insider threat program. This role will focus on proactive detection, deterrence, and response to risks posed by malicious, negligent, or compromised insiders. The Senior Director will design and oversee program governance, technology solutions, and investigative practices, ensuring compliance with privacy, labor, and regulatory requirements across all regions. The position requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in behavioral analytics, insider threat operations, and global program development, with the ability to partner effectively across Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Security.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the enterprise insider threat program, including governance, policies, escalation processes, and operating procedures.
- Lead proactive monitoring, detection, and analysis of user activity and behavioral risk indicators across endpoints, cloud services, and collaboration platforms.
- Direct and oversee insider threat investigations, ensuring evidence is properly collected, preserved, and reported.
- Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and Corporate Security to manage investigations into employee misconduct, data exfiltration, fraud, and other high-risk activities.
- Ensure the program is compliant with international privacy, labor, and regulatory requirements.
- Select, implement, and optimize insider threat technologies, behavioral analytics, and monitoring solutions.
- Develop and present clear, executive-level reporting and program updates to senior leadership and boards.
- Design and deliver awareness and training programs to reduce risk, improve employee engagement, and foster a culture of security.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a global team of insider threat analysts and investigators.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to continuously mature the insider threat program.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Insider Threat Program Manager (CITPM) or Certified Insider Threat Vulnerability Assessor (CITVA)
- GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Additional insider threat, forensic, or behavioral analytics certifications considered a plus
Work Experience
- 12-15 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, investigations, or risk management, with at least 5-7 years focused on insider threat programs or investigations.
- Minimum of 7 years in a leadership role managing global teams.
- Demonstrated success building or scaling insider threat programs in a large enterprise environment.
- Hands-on experience implementing insider threat technologies, monitoring solutions, and behavioral analytics platforms.
- Proven ability to collaborate with HR, Legal, and Corporate Security on sensitive, high-impact investigations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings and program outcomes to executives and boards.
The preference is for candidates to be located within a reasonable distance of our Conshohocken, PA or Carrollton, TX offices. However, individuals in other locations will also be considered. Those not based near a primary site should expect to travel to these locations as needed.

$156,300 - 241,010
*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
