Role Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll be more than just a hands-on operator—you’ll be a trusted advisor, a proactive problem solver, and a champion of continuous improvement. You’ll take ownership of existing pain points in our DevOps processes, implement sustainable solutions, and guide the team toward better practices. With a positive, consulting mindset, you’ll ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices. You’ll also mentor junior team members, instilling in them the value of attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Description/Responsibilities: 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing branching, monitoring, and deploying solutions across various environments using DevOps practices. Your day-to-day activities will include deploying updates and fixes, contributing to continuous improvement, identifying inefficiencies, and enhancing our continuous delivery processes. You will collaborate closely with development teams to establish reliable and efficient build environments for DEV & QA, providing timely build status updates and automating processes to boost efficiency and quality.
 

Qualifications:

  • BE/ME/MCA with 7+ years of IT experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong scripting skills with the ability to automate manual tasks using shell and Python.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the DevOps toolchain, including business planning, continuous integration, continuous delivery, test automation, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in YAML and JSON languages.
  • Extensive experience with VSTS, Git source control management, and branching strategies.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps services such as Test Plans, Artifacts, Forks, Branching, Service Connections, Deployment Gates, Variable Groups, Permissions, and System Agents.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure Fundamentals, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Service, AKS, Jenkins, Bamboo, TFS, Maven, SonarQube, NuGet, Agile methodology, and the latest DevOps trends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work creatively and analytically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • AZ-400 DevOps Certification.
  • Experience with SQL, C#.NET, and ASP.NET development.
  • Infrastructure automation experience with tools like Chef, Ansible, Terraform, and Octopus.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics CRM, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Key Vaults.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills and methodologies.
