Job Description
Summary
The primary role of the Sr. DevOps Engineer is to develop, manage, launch and support the DevOps pipeline operations to ensure the stable use of the department’s tools and the automation of the DevOps pipeline. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly internal tools, DevOps processes and automation, proper utilization of tools data to improve the department’s ITSM processes and streamline of engineering software and best practices. Additionally, one designs and implements short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure tools and DevOps practices meet AV’s growth business needs.
Duties
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for tools management, administration and Agile project management, as well as design, build and support a secure DevOps pipeline platform, based on industry standards and best practices.
- Contributes to the research and makes recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all IT internal tools (Atlassian Jira, Ivanti, SOA , Boomi middleware platforms, etc..), and DevOps best practices
- Contributes to the setup and configuration of version control systems (GitHub, GitLab) or migration practices.
- Engage in the security hardening, and maintenance of web application technologies and middleware solutions on Windows/Linux platforms.
- to the determination of technical standards and specifications and leads the design, build and support of shared services platform and components.
- Provides professional support services and/or the integration of their respective products.
- Compares various solutions and determines the one which best fits the need.
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of web application technologies and middleware solutions on Windows/Linux platforms.
- Develop & maintain the automation of backups, patching and automation of the Service Desk platform, for End Point protection, Asset Management, and all AV workflows, and work with Audit to ensure auditability and traceability.
- Researches new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes.
- Establishes service level agreements (SLAs) with business units & establishes requirements, technical deliverables and service level agreements with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors when securing tools-specific products and services.
- Supports the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all internal IT tool systems, services, and DevOps systems and processes.
- Frequently interacts with customers and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company

Experience
- Minimum 6+ years’ related work experience managing diverse DevOps workloads, and tools teams.
- Minimum 8+ years of automation and configuration management using Ansible/Ansible Tower and similar tools
- Minimum of 5+ years of Atlassian suite experience
- Minimum of 6+ years of Linux administration experience, AWS application deployment, Azure application deployment.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience working with containerization, orchestration, service discovery experience on Windows and Linux hosts, using Docker and /or ECS, and experience with GitLab or similar version control systems including branching, tagging, merging and release management.
- Minimum of 5+ years of middleware and API integration experience with various system
- Experience implementing Cyber Security frameworks (NIST, SOX, Audit)
- Experience with varied SQL, noSQL Databases, Docker, automated build deployment systems and BigData platform.
- Experience with one or more major cloud platform providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Demonstrated knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Technology Management or related field is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Master’s degree a plus
Additional Requirements
- Ability to architect and design complex solutions for DevOps, Engineering, IT pipelining of production/Dev/QA releases, and automation of Jira and lifecycle workflows.

- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
Special Requirements
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
- Occasionally may be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
The salary range for this role is:
$136,807 - $194,040
