JOB SUMMARY

We partner with our customers to bring medical devices to market quickly, predictably, and cost-effectively.

The Senior Mask Designer is based out of our Chandler, AZ office. The ideal candidate should be able to effectively translate transistor level schematics into physical circuit layout. The position requires a detailed understanding of device placement and organization to reduce system related issue and improve device matching. The candidate will also be required to assist design engineering it top level Integrated Circuit (IC) floor planning.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Efficiently translate transistor level schematics into physical circuit layout.
• Implement layout for critical analog circuits following best practices in the industry.
• Work effectively and lead a team of layout engineers to complete layouts in a timely manner.
• Support in the generation of foundry submission of GDSII.
• Effectively identify and correct layout versus schematic (LVS) and design rule checker (DRC) findings.
• Manage and work with foundry supplied process design kits (PDK) as related to IC layout.
• Give reasonable estimates for layout compilation.
• Complies with company, quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent degree program at an accredited University and minimum 10 years' experience or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Strong experience with Cadence Virtuoso XL and Mentor Calibre.
• Ability to use other layout tools is a plus.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to identify layout challenges and propose solutions.
• Give input on layout schedules.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
