As Sr. Data Scientist II, you’ll lead data-driven initiatives across both Sustainment and Operations Support domains. What you’ll do:

  • Lead analytics efforts supporting software change requests, configuration management, system engineering, and validation testing.
  • Analyze system performance, interface data, and service desk metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and operationalize AI/ML models to support predictive analytics for capacity management, incident forecasting, and audit compliance.
  • Work with Oracle EBS data structures and Exadata environments to optimize performance and ensure data integrity across development and production systems.
  • Leverage OCI services to support data migration, monitoring, and cloud-native analytics.
  • Collaborate with Agile Product Teams to support the development and sustainment of enterprise environments.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA), interface performance monitoring, and audit readiness through data traceability and compliance reporting.
  • Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations to support leadership decision-making and continual service improvement (CSI).
  • Investigation and recommendations for implementation opportunities for AI/ML.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Active IAT Level I certification (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP) in accordance with DoD 8570 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in data mining, cleansing, transformation, and aggregation of large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and visualization using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), including data structures, reporting, and integration points.
  • Experience working with Oracle Exadata environments for high-performance data processing and analytics.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including data migration, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and supporting DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems, particularly in federal or DoD environments, including experience with data governance and audit compliance.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.

SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $145,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
