As Sr. Data Scientist II, you’ll lead data-driven initiatives across both Sustainment and Operations Support domains. You’ll work with large-scale datasets, Oracle EBS, Exadata, and OCI to uncover insights that improve system performance, audit readiness, and capacity planning. Your work will directly support readiness and modernization goals through predictive analytics and AI/ML solutions.

What you’ll do:
- Lead analytics efforts supporting software change requests, configuration management, system engineering, and validation testing.
- Analyze system performance, interface data, and service desk metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and operationalize AI/ML models to support predictive analytics for capacity management, incident forecasting, and audit compliance.
- Work with Oracle EBS data structures and Exadata environments to optimize performance and ensure data integrity across development and production systems.
- Leverage OCI services to support data migration, monitoring, and cloud-native analytics.
- Collaborate with Agile Product Teams to support the development and sustainment of enterprise environments.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA), interface performance monitoring, and audit readiness through data traceability and compliance reporting.
- Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations to support leadership decision-making and continual service improvement (CSI).
- Investigation and recommendations for implementation opportunities for AI/ML.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related technical discipline.
- Active IAT Level I certification (e.g., A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP) in accordance with DoD 8570 requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in data mining, cleansing, transformation, and aggregation of large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data modeling, and visualization using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), including data structures, reporting, and integration points.
- Experience working with Oracle Exadata environments for high-performance data processing and analytics.
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, including data migration, monitoring, and optimization.
- Experience working in Agile environments and supporting DevSecOps pipelines.
- Familiarity with enterprise systems, particularly in federal or DoD environments, including experience with data governance and audit compliance.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required.
SALARY RANGE: $138,000 - $145,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
- The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
- The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
- Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
- This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
- Performance-based bonuses
- Company-paid training and/or certifications
- Referral bonuses
