We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with modern data engineering technologies such as Scala, Spark, Databricks, Azure APIs, and Azure Data Factory (ADF), as well as deep knowledge of pipeline orchestration, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Scala programming.
- Deep expertise with Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
- Extensive experience working with Databricks.
- Experience using Azure APIs and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data integration.
- Solid understanding of pipeline orchestration tools and methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, including dimensional and relational modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems (preferably Azure).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Job duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Build and optimize large-scale data processing solutions using Scala and Apache Spark.
- Develop and maintain workflows in Databricks, ensuring efficient data transformations and performance tuning.
- Integrate and manage data solutions leveraging Azure APIs and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Implement pipeline orchestration best practices to ensure reliability, observability, and automation.
- Design robust data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational workloads.
- Conduct performance tuning and data optimization for large and complex datasets.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with company and industry standards.
- Document data workflows, architectures, and processes clearly and effectively.
