What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Required technical certifications include Security+ and CySA+ or GSEC.
  • Possess DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 521 Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist work role, such as Security+, SSCP, CySA+, PenTest+, CASP+, GCIH, CISSP, or GSLC.

  • Hands-on experience implementing CSfC capability packages and protection profile requirements.
  • Hands-on experience creating compliant Data-at-Rest and Data-in-Transit architectures using layered commercial products.
  • Operational experience implementing encrypted tunneling, key management, and secure transport mechanisms in classified environments.
  • Experience supporting security monitoring and incident detection, including integration with SIEM platforms and performance and compliance analysis of the solution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education requirements.
