What we offer:Job Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Core Buyer, you will drive sourcing and procurement activities for platform projects and assigned product areas, ensuring competitive costs, reliable supply, and successful project execution. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, support customer RFQs, and act as the key purchasing interface throughout the project lifecycle. You will also help ensure material availability and production continuity while contributing to global sourcing strategies.
- Lead and coordinate RFQ processes, including supplier inquiries, quote evaluation and cost analysis
- Support customer RFQs with purchasing expertise and cost inputs during early project phases
- Act as the purchasing interface for platform projects and cross-functional teams
- Drive sourcing activities and support supplier selection and award decisions
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships while identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Negotiate commercial terms and contribute to achieving competitive material costs
- Maintain and further develop platform price libraries and cost models
- Collaborate with Category Management, Engineering and Supplier Quality to build a strategic supply chain
- Monitor market and technology trends to identify sourcing and cost optimization opportunities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the successful execution of platform objectives
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated Senior Buyer, ideally with automotive industry experience. The ideal candidate can coordinate parallel activities, has strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and has a strategic mindset.
Your preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the automotive electronics industry
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skillsInterpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems; knowledge of JDE is an advantage
What you can look forward to:
We are committed to offering a fair and attractive compensation package. For this position, the minimum gross annual salary under the collective agreement for the Austrian automotive industry is € 80,000 (all-in). Depending on your qualifications and relevant professional experience, a higher salary is customary and will be offered accordingly.
