Reporting to Honeywell’s Senior Director of Communications for Latin America and EMEA, the Senior Communications Manager will partner closely with the Regional President, as well as our wider Communications function, to shape and deliver strategic, enterprise‑aligned communications that build awareness, deepen understanding and inspire action.
This is an individual contributor role focused on hands-on execution and strategic impact for LATAM, with a particular focus on telling our energy and automation technology stories to external audiences in Brazil and the region.
The successful candidate will bring deep press contacts across Brazil’s general, energy, technology and business media landscape, and be experienced operating both strategically and tactically across the full spectrum of communications activities. Outstanding written and verbal communications skills in English and Portuguese are required – additional Spanish language capability is a plus.
Deep experience in message development and localization is a must, as is a strong understanding of the political, economic and technological shifts taking place in Brazil and the wider LATAM region, and how these shifts translate into opportunities for the industrial, energy and building sectors. 


Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop and implement an integrated communications strategy for Brazil and core markets across LATAM aligned to Honeywell’s growth drivers, as it evolves to become one of the world’s leading pure-play automation companies:
  • External Communications: Develop regional media programs strongly linked to business strategy and regional industry trends.
  • Develop and execute Executive Positioning strategies for the Regional President to drive top-tier media coverage and visibility to further the company’s reputation.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key reporters/media across the Brazil media hub, and manage media inquiries, interview requests and press engagement opportunities from across the region. Oversee and develop content for press releases, bylined articles, key messages, media statements, Q&A documents and briefings, working alongside our PR agency partners. 
  • Work with appropriate businesses, functions and government relations on crisis and issues management.
  • Internal Communications: Develop and deploy innovative tactics to engage employees across LATAM, supporting the organization’s transformation through leadership messages to provide clarity and consistency for our people in the region.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum 12 years’ communications experience preferred, with a proven track record of results in external comms, change comms and executive positioning. 
  • Deep, established relationships with reporters/media in Brazil, leveraged to land news stories/ideas and manage journalist inquiries.
  • Experience navigating comms though the legislative, regulatory, and political landscape in Brazil and wider LATAM region. 
  • Strong (AP style) writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise messages that align closely with corporate messaging.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and proven ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to think strategically, provide communications counsel, and lead in developing plans to drive results.
  • Well versed in leveraging internal communications tools including Poppulo, Viva Engage, Teams and Zoom.
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.
  • Intimate understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, as a platform to amplify thought leadership and executive positioning.
  • Ability to provide communications guidance and work effectively across businesses and corporate functions, with strong understanding of business processes and vernacular.
  • Prior experience working in a large, complex international B2B organization. Additional journalism experience is valued.
  • Ability to travel across the region 10 - 15% of the time.
