Nightwing is searching for a Senior Capture Manager to focus on strategic capture opportunities and account campaign orchestration. This role requires a strong business acumen, technical insight, resourcefulness, agility, and an internal/external customer relations-oriented individual. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Capture Excellence. Competitive candidates must possess a proven record of winning new and follow-on business in the Federal market. The candidate must be a self-starter, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven. The candidate will serve as the single point of responsibility, authority, and accountability to lead, manage, and integrate all necessary capture activities to produce a discriminating offer. This role will be actively engaged throughout the entire lifecycle of an opportunity from identification to final award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Assess candidate opportunities and develop compelling and comprehensive strategies to capture those opportunities.
- Leverage capabilities and experience across Nightwing’s Business Units to identify and enact creative and innovative approaches.
- Lead and manage all stakeholder relationships (individuals, key people, teammates, working groups, etc.) to produce a discriminating offer that is competitive, compliant, and responsive to RFP requirements and customer issues.
- Create and maintain capture artifacts and to effectively track and communicate actions, gaps and accomplishments.
- Formulate teaming strategy, structure, and selection using analytical assessments of Nightwing’s strengths and weaknesses against customer issues, SOW/RFP requirements, and the competitive landscape.
- Present capture plans, gate reviews, and proposal plans to the executive team and effectively incorporate constructive input.
- Select the key personnel/management team members that meet RFP requirements and align to a discriminating win strategy.
- Actively engage in developing the price-to-win strategy by collecting and analyzing competitor pricing trends, contract performance history, customer buying habits and recent awards of similar contracts.
- Oversee the design of the technical and management solutions and ensure the solutions align to the win strategy and price-to-win targets.
- Actively participate in proposal planning and development, to include drafting and reviewing content.
- Work with the Nightwing contract transition lead and project manager to ensure a smooth and full transference of proposal concepts, ideas, and strategies into contract operations.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary to optimize capture and proposal operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelor’s degree in related field; 8 years relevant progressive experience with Master’s degree in related field; or high school diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant progressive experience in related field
- Proven track record in capturing/winning programs across the DoD and Intelligence Community
- Current TS/SCI Clearance
- Demonstrated expert knowledge of U.S. federal Government services/solutions contracting/buying practices
- Direct familiarity with various acquisition pathways and vehicles (General Services Administration (GSA), One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS), ASTRO, IAC MAC, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with the Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) organization (now AAS), its key leadership, and procurement history
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, esp. at an executive briefing level demonstrated through written and oral presentations, development of technical papers, volumes, or similar products
- Demonstrated skills in all areas of business development including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, management and technical solution development, customer visits, customer relationship development, competitive intelligence, and team leadership, etc.
