The Role
THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION Primary Duties 1. Analyze operational and enterprise data using statistical and analytical methods to identify trends, patterns, and performance indicators that support business objectives. 2. Develop clear visualizations and reports that translate data into actionable insights for operational teams and leadership. 3. Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that enable efficient monitoring of performance and key metrics. 4. Apply standard data testing and validation methods to assure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used in analysis and reporting. 5. Transform and prepare data using query languages, visualization platforms, and analytical tools to support reliable analysis and reporting. 6. Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, gather requirements, and support data-driven decision-making. 7. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of enterprise data structures and data flows, including how key operational data is captured, stored, and used in analytics. 8. Communicate analytical findings clearly through written summaries, presentations, and visualizations appropriate for both technical and non-technical audiences. 9. Assist in maintaining data definitions and supporting documentation, including data dictionaries and metadata that promote consistent understanding of key metrics. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Educational/Experience Level: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent work experience considered. 5+ years of experience in data analysis, decision support, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical software and dashboard building. • Demonstrated proficiency in query languages such as SQL. • Statistical analysis capability, including the ability to apply appropriate methods to uncover relationships, validate findings, and support sound analytical conclusions. • Proven ability to build clear, actionable dashboards with tools such as Tableau or Power BI. • Experience with data quality validation, documentation, and testing. • Experience with geospatial analysis preferred. • Background in the utility industry is considered beneficial. Communication Skills: Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information. Requires excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to explain technical or complex concepts to individuals. Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to apply research methods, and/or advanced statistical and/or accounting methods. Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills in order to utilize various software applications for developing documents, reports and graphics. Physical Demands: Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
