As a Sr. Business Analyst I, you’ll support IT and business system lifecycle management within a federal environment. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and documenting business needs and requirements, ensuring projects meet lifecycle milestones and compliance standards. What you’ll do:

  • Requirements Analysis & Process Improvement:
    • Identify and evaluate business and system requirements to ensure alignment with project goals.
    • Analyze real-time data to identify substandard system processes and recommend improvements.
    • Perform quality assurance at every stage of the systems development lifecycle.
    • Assist in defining the scope of proposed projects and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Project Management & Documentation:
    • Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress against milestones.
    • Prepare and maintain project lifecycle documentation, including gate review materials, design documents, security plans, and configuration management plans.
    • Develop and modify processes and procedures related to project execution.
    • Conduct analysis of alternatives (e.g., COTS solutions, hosting environments) and provide recommendations.
  • Reporting & Stakeholder Communication:
    • Deliver status reports, briefings, and analyses to stakeholders.
    • Prepare informative, data-driven presentations for management and project teams.
    • Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports.
    • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to mitigate project risks and issues.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Interim Secret Clearance required to start.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis and systems development.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting federal customers in business analysis.
  • Experience with Jira, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills.
  • Practical experience generating process documentation, management briefings, and reports.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

SALARY RANGE: $92,000 - $115,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including: 

  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
