Sr. Big Commerce Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior BigCommerce Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in building and optimizing eCommerce solutions for our clients. You will leverage your expertise in BigCommerce, JavaScript, and front-end technologies to create high-performing, scalable online stores. Your responsibilities will include API integration, building shopping carts and checkout screens to ensure an exceptional user experience. 

Primary Responsibilities:  

• Design and implement data access layers to integrate with BigCommerce. 

• Build and maintain modular, scalable components for core shopping features such as cart and checkout. 

• Work with BigCommerce APIs and SDKs to integrate third-party applications. 

• Optimize website performance, security and scalability for an enhanced shopping experience. 

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing eCommerce solutions. 

• Conduct code reviews and implement best development practices. 

• Collaborate with designers, stakeholders, and backend developers to ensure seamless project execution. 

• Stay updated with the latest eCommerce trends, BigCommerce features, and industry best practices. 

Required Skills:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

• At least 5 years of experience in web development.   

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Tailwind, and modern front-end frameworks (React.js, Next.js, or similar). 

• Knowledge of server-side languages such as Node.js, PHP, or Python.    

• Previous experience working with BigCommerce API. 

• Previous experience working with headless development. 

• Proficiency in integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, and plugins. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. 

• Intermediate English proficiency (B2 level or higher). 

 Nice To Have: 

• Strong understanding of SEO best practices for eCommerce platforms.
