Sr Associate, Accreditation:

The Accreditation (ACR) functional area identifies and registers all participants in the Olympic and Paralympic Games and facilitates their access into Games venues through the issuance of Olympic Identify and Accreditation Cards (OIACs), Paralympic Identify and Accreditation Cards (PIACs) and various other devices under the authority of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC).

 The Sr Associate, Accreditation Program Planning will support the planning and coordination of ACR sub-functions, including those responsible for competition and non-competition venue operations, accreditation systems and data management, and stakeholder services. Reporting to the Head of Accreditation, this role will focus on team support, monitoring program timelines and collaboration with other LA28 departments on centralized activities including procurement, publications and headcount planning. 

The successful candidate will be eager to learn, adaptable, and have excellent project management skills. Additionally, candidates will embody LA28’s values and behaviors through their work.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report on Accreditation program activities and milestones. 
  • Manage the Accreditation FA’s risks, actions, decisions, issues and opportunities trackers. 
  • Collaborate with other internal FAs to deliver the program planning and cross-functional administration activities required for the Accreditation FA, including Planning & Programs, Finance, Procurement, Editorial Services and People Management. 
  • Coordinate meetings with external partner organizations related to the Accreditation program, including IOC, IPC and Federal Government authorities. 
  • Support the integration of Accreditation sub-functions and overall coordination of the department, ensuring alignment on deliverables and timelines. 
  • Support the onboarding of new staff into the Accreditation team. 

Background & Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in program/project management or similar. 
  • Familiarity with sports and event planning preferred.  
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders (clients) and build strong cross-functional relationships. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Demonstrated competence in program/project management applications such as Smartsheet. Familiarity with finance/procurement/HR business applications highly desirable. 
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information efficaciously.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. 

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required or equivalent work experience 
  • Project management desired 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Ability to work on-site in an office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA, with occasional travel to venue sites 
  • Occasionally there may be a requirement for working hours outside of traditional business hours/days to support special events, travel, and the 2028 Games. 
  • The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment  
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $98,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
