The Investor Relations Senior Analyst position will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Vice President of Investor Relations in a variety of Investor Relations (“IR”) functions including internal and external communications, financial & market analysis, competitive research, development of materials including presentations, scripts, executive summaries and more, and meeting planning and management.
This role is critical in the IR team’s mission to enable the company’s senior leadership to communicate our strengths, growth opportunities, and business initiatives to global investors and analysts. This position is a great opportunity for a motivated self-starter with 3-5 years of experience in investor relations, financial analysis, finance or accounting.
Responsibilities
Communications
- Contribute to the development of strategic communications to management, shareholders and the financial community.
- Assist in developing key messages and materials (slides, scripts, and speaking points, spreadsheets) to effectively communicate: quarterly earnings performance, conference presentations, on-going dialogue, investor data packages, SEC Filings, merger & acquisitions and key strategy and/or project messages.
- Communicate regularly with the Company’s Senior and Executive Leadership Teams
- Ensure Regulation Fair Disclosure and other rules compliance.
- Understand company and competitor strengths/weaknesses/messages.
- Research and answer questions and/or general requests for information for current and prospective shareholders.
- Annual Report Project Lead - work with vendors and other employees to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the company’s Annual Report
Analysis
- Completes specials projects as assigned by the Manager and Vice President of Investor Relations (e.g. creating financial models of earnings per share, company growth, revenue, etc.)
- Review and analyze relevant financial information including corporate financial statements, sales reports, profitability information and other internal and external information to understand and communicate results.
- Analyze and measure relevant economic indicators and market drivers to understand and communicate their impact on results.
- Track and analyze peer earnings / competitive data and news updates to provide summaries for executives.
- Researches and develops potential IR cost control and streamlining process solutions and audits bank and departmental invoices so the company is charged properly by vendors and other departments.
- Assists with investor calendar, coordinating opportunities between CEO, CFO, and Vice President of IR, and planning/logistics for investor roadshows, key analyst conferences, and more.
- Prepares analysis of current and potential shareholders for targeted investor outreach
- Maintain records of shareholder contacts via meetings and conferences.
- Update and maintain investor packages and conference materials, and coordinate required deliveries, etc.
Website Maintenance
- Maintain and monitor Investor Relations website.
- Monitor website inquiries and ensure timely responses, as applicable.
- Manage and lead projects (e.g. Annual Website Audit for GPC and Business Units)
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting. MBA and/or CPA preferred
- Strong executive presence; ability to work at all levels of the organization up to CEO and Chairman
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to develop relationships across business and functional lines
- Financial acumen with working knowledge of financial statements and analytical methods
- Superior analytical capabilities with a strong interest in investor relations and practical problem-solving experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Project Management; able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail
