Location: Primarily remote within Michigan, with occasional onsite presence required at the client location in Saginaw, MI.
Overview: We seek an Application Support Specialist to provide critical support for a suite of IBM Rational applications used by the Embedded Software group. This role maintains application performance, resolves incidents and requests via ServiceNow, and performs upgrades, configuration, and user account management.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong understanding of Windows and UNIX/Linux Server Administration.
- Experience in installation, configuration, and upgrade of enterprise software.
- Hands-on experience managing Incident and request tickets using ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve application issues and support end users.
- Web-based change management tool for managing source code for Electric Power Steering Systems.

Qualifications:
- Required Skills
- Wintel and Unix/Linux server environment and administration knowledge
- Installation/Configuration of software (Upgrades, Patching, etc.)
- HTML, C++, Windows, and Unix Scripting
- SQL, MySQL, Postgres
- Application Support
- Trouble Shooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, including software bugs, performance problems, and configuration errors.
- Databases: Knowledge of common database technologies (SQL, MySQL, Postgres) and how to manage and troubleshoot database-related issues
- Customer Support: Providing direct support to users, addressing their questions and concerns, and guiding them through technical issues.
- Manage User Accounts, Password reset
- Monitoring: Monitor software systems for potential issues and proactively address them to prevent disruptions.

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $73,100 - $135,700.
Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
