The Global Shared Services team in MBS, India plays a crucial role in this mission, working together with our counterparts across the globe by providing various support services in Finance and Business.
This role will be a part of Global Finance Shared Services Team, India which provides range of Finance Support services such as Controllership, Business & Ops, Corp FP&A, Treasury, Credit & Collection etc.
This role is essential in supporting the Controllership Function and External Reporting Team, by working closely and independently to ensure timely execution and delivery of commitments. The candidate will be expected to meet the expectations of our functional stakeholders effectively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of accountability, strong work ethics, and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.Responsibilities Include:
- Assists in the external reporting effort to ensure that financial reporting complies with IFRS/K-IFRS and U.S. GAAP regulations
- Assists in conducting accounting technical research and writing issue memos for accounting and disclosure matters, including reviews on certain reporting matters for IFRS/K-IFRS and US GAAP.
- Helps maintain SOX 404 documentation and related testing for the financial reporting cycle.
- Provides support for special projects as needed by Controllership and External reporting team
- Offers U.S. GAAP support to various Finance leaders.
- Assists with the annual external audit process to help resolve accounting, auditing, and reporting issues.
- Supports quarterly MOMH IFRS consolidations (as requested)
- Assists with quarterly IFRS Footnotes for Korean Parent Consolidations.
- Supports pension accounting under both IFRS and US GAAP, including quarterly pension accounting footnotes per IFRS.
- Aids in hedge accounting and related quarterly footnotes per IFRS.
- Provides IFRS support for MOM Holdings.
- Administers the Lease Accelerator Tool for compliance
- Supports K-SOX compliance efforts for controllership team
- Prepare/Assist in US GAAP to IFRS Convergence entries
- Coordinates US GAAP to IFRS Financial Statements for External Reporting Team
- Coordinates with our Korean Parent as needed.
- CI and ability to look at opportunities for digitization and automation
The following are required for the role
- CA/ACCA/CPA with minimum 4-5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related field.
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is required (K-IFRS preferred)
- Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation.
- Basic understanding of SOX 404 compliance and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong orientation to details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong working experience using One Stream, SAP/BW
- Advanced MS Excel is a plus
- Exposure in transition from GAAP to IFRS would be highly preferred
