This role is responsible for advancing and modernizing DevSecOps capabilities across Aero, with a specific focus on the EC instance. It combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership to drive strategic transformation, support AI initiatives, and modernize the engineering tooling ecosystem.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
- Lead the modernization of DevSecOps practices and tooling, addressing current gaps relative to industry standards.
- Drive strategic AOP commitments and upcoming initiatives within the DevSecOps and tooling space.
- Oversee the evaluation and potential adoption of modern engineering platforms, including AI‑enabled tools and GitHub.
- Transition the organization from a reactive, support‑only model to a proactive, innovation‑driven approach.
- Develop and execute a forward‑looking roadmap to reduce backlog, improve operational efficiency, and scale capabilities.
- Provide end‑to‑end ownership of all non‑IBM Software Engineering tools, ensuring governance, consistency, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
- Partner with engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure cohesive DevSecOps adoption and tool usage.
- Support enterprise AI and digital transformation goals through modernized workflows and platform readiness.
- Establish standards, best practices, and operational processes to improve quality, security, and delivery outcomes.

Must Have:
- 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, ALM, or platform operations leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud engineering, and modern development tooling.
- 3+ years’ experience leading technical teams and driving cross‑functional initiatives.
- 3+ years’ experience with AI‑driven tooling, GitHub, or similar modern development ecosystems
