As a Sr Advanced Test Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in developing and executing advanced test methodologies to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our products. You will work on complex testing challenges, leveraging your expertise to innovate and improve test processes that support product development and manufacturing.
You will report directly to our engineering management team and you’ll work out of our Freeport, IL location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact product quality and reliability by designing and implementing sophisticated test strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate the testing activities for assigned projects
- Develop and implement advanced test plans and procedures to validate product performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to define test requirements and ensure alignment with product specifications.
- Lead efforts to automate testing and improve test equipment and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to test technicians.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering within a manufacturing or product development environment
- Have practical experience working with engineering equipment (test chambers, data acquisition systems, digital multimeters, mechanical fixturing)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product testing.
