The Role
Design, modify, and implement test equipment for DO-160 qualification. Maintain and operate the qualification lab, execute EMI and power quality tests, create qualification data packages and reports, troubleshoot and root-cause issues, present findings to product teams, support test build design and vendor coordination, and develop lab processes and capabilities while training others.

Design: Be part of a team that designs, modifies, and implements test equipment solutions for Qualification to DO-160. You will execute development and qualification test, investigate, and analyze issues to root cause and propose fixes, implement change, and verify & validate the final solution.

Lab: You will maintain the Qualification Lab and its equipment in readiness, follow process, set up and execute test, and provide support to a cross functional product team through the Development and Qualification cycle.

As Point of Contact with the Product Group, you will present Test Data and findings and participate in trouble shooting activities with the team.

Responsibilities

JOB ACTIVITIES

  • Maintain Qualification Lab and equipment to support Product Group
  • Setup and Execute EMI & PQ Development and Qualification Tests
  • Create Qualification Data Packages to support Test Reports
  • Participate in Test Build Design including procurement & working with vendors.
  • Test Build Verification and Validation
  • As Internal Customer’s Point of Contact, provide concise presentation of Test Data and Findings at regular meetings.
  • Develop and maintain new lab processes.
  • Develop additional lab capability.
  • Support multi-skilling/training of others.
  • Support test estimates and scheduling.

 

The Honeywell Aerospace building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 6+ years of directly related work experience in Electromagnetic Effects testing, standards, and specifications
  • Ability to travel as needed

WE VALUE

  • Software Experience with EMC32, TILE, Nexio and other Test Software
  • Test Equipment Experience with EMI Receivers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF Amplifiers, Signal generators, antennas, and oscilloscopes.
  • Working Experience of EMI, Environmental and Power Quality Test

The annual base salary for this position starts at $99,100. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
