We are seeking an Sr. Advance System Engineer – VE/CE to provide technical, functional, and executing value engineering, component engineering, and cost‑out initiatives.

This role has end‑to‑end ownership for VE/CE strategy execution, project prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and talent development, while ensuring delivery of measurable productivity, and design‑to‑cost outcomes across product portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with Product Engineering, and Project Engineering teams of HBA, Program Management, Sourcing, and Procurement to identify and realize VE/CE opportunities.
  • Review Project inputs, specifications & Drawings should be able to gather the scope and complete requirements for the project.
  • Field and Panel Device Selection, Control Valves (Electric and Pneumatic), Damper and Actuator sizing and Selection.
  • Designing the Network Architecture, Network Traffic Calculation and Network Device Selection.
  • Creating Hardware Design Drawings including plant & control schematics. Controller and Interlock Wiring. 
  • Review MEP drawings, specifications, procedures, bids and proposals and identify HVAC equipment, dampers, actuators and sensors. Preparation of Bill of Materials.
  • Preparation and participation in project kick-off and review meetings.
  • Adherence to standard estimation process and guideline to select proper combination of hardware, software, and services with optimum budget.
  • Preparation and optimization of Building Management System network
  • Experience in IBMS (Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access and surveillance and Security system)
  • Own VE/CE delivery for assigned product lines, with accountability for cost‑out pipeline creation, prioritization, and execution.
  • Deploy common VE/CE processes, metrics, and best practices across the BA VE/CE COE – project engineering.
  • Lead and facilitate VE/CE workshops, ideation sessions, and kaizen events to build a sustainable project pipeline.
  • Ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery of VE/CE projects; proactively communicate risks, issues, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
  • Support manufacturing readiness, supplier engagement, and part qualification activities resulting from VE/CE changes.
  • Develop technical capability and domain expertise within the team through structured training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to global strategy discussions for productivity, margin expansion, and cost discipline initiatives.
Qualifications

You Must Have

  • B. Tech/M. Tech (Instrumentation / Electrical/ Electronics / Electronics & Communication with 12 to 15 years of Hands-on experience on Building Automation projects design, development, and detailed engineering  
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, VAV systems etc.
  • Strong knowledge of BMS architecture with different types of Platforms, Supervisory Controllers, DDC controllers, Sensors & Actuators etc.
  • Knowledge of different types of network protocols like BACnet, LON, Modbus, etc.
  • Experience in engineering, installing, and commissioning of HVAC & BMS systems for infra projects ex. Airports, commercial buildings.
  • Strong Leadership, Negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience in Value & Component engineering, Should Costing methodologies.
  • Ability to influence engineering, sourcing, operations, and leadership teams globally
  • Strong ownership mindset with bias for action and results

Skills Required

  • Experience designing network architecture, network traffic calculation, and network device selection for BMS.
  • Experience creating hardware design drawings, plant and control schematics, controller and interlock wiring, and preparation of Bills of Materials.
  • Experience with IBMS components: fire alarms, CCTV, access control, surveillance, and security systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in Value & Component Engineering and Should Costing methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills; ability to influence engineering, sourcing, operations, and leadership globally.
  • Strong ownership mindset with bias for action and results.
