Key Responsibilities- Design & implement strong data engineering principles to bring data from relevant source systems, transform and build the target models in EDW engagements to have One Honeywell View
- Build data models to Adapt, Robust, Scalable, Secure Data Architecture & Modern Data Engineering platform, tools & technologies, implement industry best practices.
- Innovate and implement continuous improvement initiatives to simplify existing workflows, ensuring both effectiveness and scalability.
- Drive standards/frameworks and develop tools to improve the scalability of EDW
- Develop data pipelines leveraging standards, guidelines, and data governance rules.
- Partner with IT support team on production processes, continuous improvement, and production deployments.
- Think Creatively to find Optimal solutions to the complex problems.
- Ensure that technical solutions are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to industry best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and other stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure that code quality is maintained throughout the development process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development process.
- 9+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
- Strong SQL skills: You should be well-versed in writing complex queries, joining large datasets, and optimizing queries for performance
- Snowflake expertise: You should have a deep understanding of Snowflake's architecture and features, including virtual warehouses, semi-structured data handling, and query optimization.
- ETL/ELT experience: You should have experience in designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines to extract data from various sources and load it into Snowflake particularly experience on Informatica Intelligent Cloud Service (IICS)
- Programming skills: You should be proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python or Java, and be able to write code to automate tasks or build custom applications.
- Cloud experience: You should have experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and understand how to optimize Snowflake's performance within a cloud environment.
