Global Engineering Services (GES)
Global Engineering Services is the key largescale engineering, productivity, new growth initiative and process standardization enabler for HPS and outside HPS. With the largest skilled engineering pool available to PAS, LSS, HCP and Cyber and ready to expand to other GBEs, GES helps win GMPs and executes them, does design, engineer and execute all the other PAS, LSS, HCI and Cyber projects based out of major engineering centers at India, China, Bucharest and Uzbekistan, helps all the LOBs to carry out engineering and process standardization to improve the engineering quality and productivity and also supports all the LOBs in supporting migrations and long-term service contracts.
THE OPPORTUNITY – Technical Project Manager
Technical Project Manager (Sr Adv Proj Mgmt. Specialist) is responsible for managing the Service contracts/ Sustenance/ARR programs assigned with Waterfall or Agile project execution method. Duties include liaising with various global stakeholders, build and drive the Service contracts to successful completion. This includes extensive coordination with various End user/Customer and Honeywell cross-functional teams like regional project manager, Engineering manager, Operations Manager, Engineering team, Honeywell Factory and various vendors for material supply or engineering labor. The activities would include project tracking and control, tracking the same on a weekly basis and documenting delays/ change to baseline with clear reasons/ causes for delay. To ensure the delivery of Committed Services as per the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) and follow standard MOS, by ensuring that best practices are consistently implemented achieving delivered HCI Application system uptime and ensure Customer Satisfaction. Cost monitoring on a regular basis and tracking any deviations against the estimated cost. Identifying and tracking emerging risks during execution and preparing a mitigation plan. Coordinating and arranging manpower from suppliers based on skills required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the measurement & control of HCI After Market Services metrics. For example, Quality, delivery, cost & schedule and submitting the Contract plans/progress on time, change requests and documentation of change to baseline etc.
- Responsible for providing Technical Support / Consulting on IT/OT technologies for end-to-end Services for Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other customers. Manage the IT Support services such as Security reviews, System Hardening, Networking, Policy assignments, Health Monitoring/ Diagnostic Assessment etc.
- Manage the OT Technology & provide required technical services/support in Customization, Configuration changes, Graphics maintenance, Patch management etc.
- Provide technical guidance to the team working on various contract supports.
- Responsible for conducting Services reviews, generate report & Interface with customers for technical queries.
- Available for (as per contract requirement), Proactive & Preventive Monitoring, Periodic upgrades to latest version & Product training etc
- Shall be able to anticipate the Services risk, look for mitigation plan and enable right solution to ensure sustainable working System to Customer.
- Prevent application downtime with continuous support & access to latest software updates.
- Support in driving SIOP, EAC & CO management, Revenue forecast & margin improvement
- Regular interaction & progress reporting with drive weekly project review internal/external meetings
- Conduct feedback analysis and derive corrective actions from feedback
- Support to Drive & facilitate project logistics & Travel
- Involve in Pre-sales stage proposal & estimate reviews
- Project handover to Support, drive lessons learnt and Project Closure
YOU MUST HAVE
- B.E / B.Tech. (Chemical/Petrochemical/Instrumentation/Mechanical/Electronics/IT/CS) with a minimum of 10-12 years of Max. overall professional experience
- Strong functional experience in HCI products like PHD, Alarm management, APM, APC etc.
- Must have knowledge about Networking, cyber security & remote interfacing.
- Excellent communication Skills (Verbal & Written) / Good listener, Empathetic negotiation skills
- Strong ability to maintain good working relationships with customers.
- Having Ownership & commitment towards assignments
- Problem solving attitude and good coordination skills.
- Flexible in work assignments (This being dynamic role, the selected candidate must be open to changes in work profile, to meet business requirements)
- 25% Travel may be required.
Skills Required
- B.E / B.Tech. in Chemical, Petrochemical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electronics, IT, or Computer Science
