Senior Advance Application / System Sales Engineer (Fire Security)

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) will act as a technical bridge between sales, customers, and product teams within the Fire Systems domain.
The role is primarily focused on pre-sales solutioning, technical consulting, and customer engagement, with additional responsibility for targeted post-sales field support and escalations.
This position requires a strong ability to design, position, and validate fire detection and protection solutions, along with hands-on expertise across software, hardware, and life-safety systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pre-Sales Engagement & Solutioning (Core Focus)
- Perform specification compliance, design reviews, and solution validation for fire systems.
- Provide technical consultancy and system architecture guidance to customers, consultants, and internal teams.
- Translate customer requirements into end-to-end fire safety solutions, including:
- Spot Detection Systems (smoke, heat, multi-sensor detectors)
- Aspirating Smoke Detection (ASD) / Air Sampling Systems
- Fire Alarm Panels (FACP) configuration and networking
- Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems
- Fire Suppression Systems integration
- Design control logics and cause & effect matrices aligned to operational and safety needs.
- Develop and deliver technical demonstrations and solution presentations.
- Plan and execute Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilots, and system validations.
- Support technical discussions with consultants, influencing standards and specifications.
- Conduct technical enablement and training programs for sales and partners.
- Participate in new product introduction (NPI) validation and field testing.
2. Post-Sales Technical Support (Targeted)
- Provide on-site support for installation, configuration, and commissioning of fire systems.
- Support complex deployments, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
- Act as a technical escalation point for critical fire system issues.
- Perform diagnostics and failure analysis for panels, detectors, and field devices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve gaps and enhance system performance.
Required Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Fire Detection & Life Safety Systems.
- Strong background in pre-sales engineering, system design, and customer-facing roles.
- Experience across full project lifecycle (design → installation → commissioning → support).
- Proven ability to balance solutioning and hands-on field execution.
