SQL DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR (430)

SUMMARY:  Senior/Experienced SQL Server DBA. Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, account control, log file review, back-up, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems throughout the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of SQL server databases
• Configure and maintain database servers and processes
• Monitor all SQL server and DB system's health and performance
• Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security
• Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time
• Provide suggestions for solutions
• Support mission critical application
• Installation and configuration of SQL server instances following Microsoft best practices
• Support and implementation of new applications at different phases
• Assist in managing SQL licensing status
• Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• BA in Computer Science
• Certifications in security a plus
• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role
• Experience with MY SQL Server Administration experience a plus
• 10+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
• 10+ years of experience with backups, restores and recovery models
• 10+ years of experience in High Availability (HA) and/or Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
• 10+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
