Overview
You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to connect the company's brands with the global cycling community through partnerships with top athletes, teams, and organizations. Lead a team of experts across various cycling disciplines ensuring deep product understanding in high-performance scenarios while remaining true to SRAM's brand values. Drive meaningful connections through the successes and stories of cyclists worldwide, elevating SRAM's products and brands within the cycling experience
Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sports marketing strategies aligned with brand and business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sports marketing team globally and regionally, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment ensuring effective marketing investments and activity delivers to the business.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key external stakeholders, including athletes, teams, leagues, and event organizers who connect deeply with our brand purpose and values.
  • Oversee process for internal teams identifying talent and emerging opportunities to authenticate product usage and build brand relevancy to existing and new consumer groups.
  • Effective asset management through comprehensive cross-functional execution and annual planning through product development, Go-To-Market activities, campaigns, global and regional objectives, channel marketing, customer (OEM) opportunities, and through communications and storytelling.
  • Oversee the development of clear, consistent on-boarding process for all external partners setting expectations for an ongoing relationship with clear deliverables (self-directed and brand-led), timelines, points of contact, activation ideation and process.
  • Oversee the development and execution of holistic marketing plans around each managed asset to leverage the sports marketing investment for business growth, building brand relevancy, and inspiring riders.
  • Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements and partnerships to maximize brand exposure and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sports marketing initiatives with overall marketing plans.
  • Develop tools and systems to evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of sports marketing activity and partnership on the business.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the sports marketing team globally and regionally, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sports management, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in sports marketing or related experience.
  • 5 years in a leadership role overseeing the marketing and activation of a diverse portfolio of athletes, teams, and ambassadors.
  • 7 years directly managing a team or related management experience.
  • Extensive experience in sports marketing, including sponsorship management, and event activation.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a global team of sports marketing professionals across different sports disciplines, cultures, and geographies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong networks and relationships to influence and inspire.
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure and analyze campaign and marketing performance.
  • Passion for cycling sports and understanding of the cycling industry trends preferred.
  • Responsible for managing the sports marketing budget and achieving objectives within allocated resources.
  • Plays a key role in leveraging sports marketing opportunities to drive brand awareness and revenue growth.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% and work weekends and be flexible with working hours.
  • Salary range is $150,000 + up to 30% based on skills and experience level. This position is eligible for an annual corporate bonus based on company and individual performance. For International locations, salary will be commensurate with experience.
