The Role
The internship involves building a clear understanding of the products provided on LEO satellites and how they can be integrated into the existing portfolio of the products on GEO satellites. During the internship, the intern will learn the basics of link budget analysis, product portfolio and the ways how the GEO satellite operators collaborate with the LEO operator.
During this internship, the successful candidate will:
  • Learn the details of satellite communication through the product offering based on the GEO and LEO satellites
  • Learn how to coordinate activities (project management) with multiple engineering team including the network engineering, sales and pre-sales teams
  • Learn how to perform basic satellite link budget analysis on GEO satellites and communicate with the customers the results of the analysis.
  • Effectively summarize and communicate the findings of this study to the internal stakeholders

The successful applicant should have the following qualities and abilities:
Academic:
  • Undergraduate student; Preference for degree path in Electrical Engineering, Telecom Engineering, Physics, Aerospace

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficiency with a range of Microsoft applications (SharePoint, OneNote, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of telecommunication and a curious mind

Desirable requirements:
  • Knowledge of satellite telecommunications

Program details:
  • 8 weeks minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate
  • 5 days holiday to be taken during the placement
