Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Customer Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial in ensuring seamless technical support and exceptional customer service to internal and external users. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Support:
Provide first-line technical assistance via phone, email, chat, or in person to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows and Mac operating systems, mobile devices, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
Assist with password resets, account access, and other routine IT tasks.
Customer Service:
Ensure timely and professional communication with end-users, delivering solutions and updates on the status of their issues.
Educate users on best practices, available self-service tools, and IT policies.
Incident Tracking & Documentation:
Accurately log all incidents, service requests, and problem resolutions in the IT service management (ITSM) tool.
Document troubleshooting steps, workarounds, and solutions for the knowledge base.
Collaboration & Escalation:
Collaborate with team members and escalate unresolved issues to senior support or specialist teams when necessary.
Participate in team meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and process improvement initiatives.
Hardware & Software Support:
Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Support software installations, updates, and troubleshooting.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
1–3 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role.
Technical Skills:
Working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS environments.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA, Zendesk).
Basic understanding of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
