Specialist, Treasury & Trading Operations (Cayman Islands)

Position Overview

Bullish is seeking a Treasury & Trading Operations Specialist to manage daily treasury and trading operations activities across digital assets, traditional fiat assets, and investment instruments. This position will play a key role in safeguarding operational efficiencies, providing trade support execution, and nurturing relationships with new and existing counterparties.

This role is based in the Cayman Islands. We're open to considering candidates residing outside of this location if willing to relocate to the Cayman Islands full-time. We provide assistance with relocation costs and help facilitate the immigration process.

Treasury Operations Responsibilities:

• Implement strategies to optimize cash and digital asset utilization while minimizing financial risks.

• Monitor and manage cryptocurrency holdings, including wallet management, exchange operations, and reconciliation of digital assets.

• Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting of cash and digital asset positions.

• Establish and maintain banking and exchange relationships to support the organization’s treasury needs.

• Monitor market trends, interest rates, and cryptocurrency price movements to inform treasury strategies.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to treasury operations including documentation and execution of internal controls operations.

• Prepare and present treasury reports, including cash flow analysis, liquidity metrics, and risk assessments, to senior leadership.

Trading Operations Responsibilities:

• Monitor and facilitate real-time trading across crypto exchanges and OTC desks, ensuring accurate and timely trade settlement and resolving discrepancies.

• Oversee secure management of company wallets, manage crypto deposits/withdrawals, and track digital asset inventory.

• Conduct daily reconciliation of trading activity and asset holdings, identify/resolve breaks, and generate operational reports.

• Support the implementation of operational risk controls, monitor for unusual activity, and assist with compliance record-keeping.

• Identify and implement opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in operational workflows, and document procedures.

• Act as a first responder for operational incidents, coordinating with relevant teams for swift resolution and staying informed on market developments.

• Support Finance teams in month-end processes, as needed.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (CTP or CFA certification preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in treasury management, financial analysis, and/or trade support

• Understanding of cash management, liquidity planning, and financial risk management.

• Proficiency in treasury management systems, Microsoft Excel, and other financial modeling tools.

• Understanding of trade reconciliation and settlement processes with strong attention to detail.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed teams

• Proactive communication skills with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to evolving industry dynamics.

• Familiarity with financial markets, derivatives, and risk management.

• Experience working in the crypto/digital asset industry is not required but a strong personal interest is highly advantageous.
