We are now looking for a Hardware Test Designer to work on product programs in close collaboration with R&D and Production teams, ensuring functionality, identifying process issues, and verifying performance against requirements.
You will collaborate with SW and Electromechanics Engineers to develop test applications in Oulu and transfer them to global manufacturing sites, after which responsibility moves to the Maintenance team.
The role also allows you to apply skills in SW development, automation, and electronic design, while working with colleagues in the USA and China. Your team will support and train you to succeed in the role.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibility will be to specify, design, validate and document test applications for new RF or Baseband products. In addition, the work includes:
- Co-operation globally with product and test designers, and factories
- Giving testability feedback on products
- Participation in problem-solving
- To support and update your application design til responsibility has been transferred to maintenance team
Must have:
- Measurement technology and test instrument know-how (RF, analogue, digital)
- Knowledge of electronics design
- Knowledge of production test requirements
- Analytical mindset with solid debugging and analyzing skills
Nice-to- have:
- RF and electrical simulation tools know-how, like ADS, CST or similar
- Subassembly or unit level test design experience (RF, System module or similar)
- Fluent written and verbal skills in Finnish and English to work with production and R&D personnel
