About the Role
This individual will maintain strong relations with business leaders, hiring managers, HR business partners, external contacts and candidates. You will develop and execute a recruiting plan focused on identifying “A Player” Talents, leveraging traditional recruiting strategies while also developing new and creative sourcing ideas. You will act as an Advisor of Talent for business/organizational challenges while driving innovative recruitment solutions that support the growth of HARMAN.
What You Will Do
- Serve as a key recruiter supporting multiple client groups.
- Advise the business on talent availability in the market and create sourcing strategies based on external market data.
- Pro-actively identify qualified candidates through multiple sources, including employee referrals, social networking sites, alumni, internal transfers, networking, etc.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop and implement plans for sourcing and recruiting strategies
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers, HR business partners, Talent Acquisition leaders and other stakeholders as appropriate on pipeline development and progress of candidates.
- Manage candidates through the entire interview and hiring process, from assessing candidate qualifications to negotiating offers and managing pre-employment requirements and onboarding.
- Creates clear and concise oral and written communications.
- Develops compelling and inspirational messages to tell the HARMAN talent story.
- Master the use of recruiting tools and technologies (Avature, Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, etc.) to remain at the forefront of talent acquisition.
- Integrate HARMAN’s brand strategy into all recruitment activities.
- Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview documentation and data in applicant tracking system (Avature).
- Proactively escalate complex recruitment challenges as needed.
- Share competitive market intelligence with hiring managers and recruiting team.
- Recommend and implement improvements to recruitment processes.
- Participate in global and regional recruiting projects as needed.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 + years full lifecycle recruiting experience, Engineering or Commercial recruiting experience is preferred
- Strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with internal clients.
- Experience managing the recruitment process via an Applicant Tracking System.
- Core knowledge of recruitment/hiring laws and practices.
- Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of HARMAN’s recruitment policies, process and protocols.

- Ability and flexibility to recruit across a variety of functional roles.
- Understanding of Workday and Avature.
- Workday ATS knowledge and experience.
