Specialist Solutions Developer

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Handles sophisticated client requests, adhering to the Solutions Governance Framework.
• Makes appropriate recommendations and works proactively to deliver results.
• Builds positive relationships with internal and external interested parties.
• Takes an innovative and proactive approach to existing solutions, finding opportunities for improvement and modernization.
• Supports interventions for process and functional requirement gathering related to customer workflows.
• Effectively delivers assigned projects.
• Constructs technical and functional specifications based on client requirements.
• Documents clients requirements and developments in required and assigned share-points.
• Participates in presales calls as required.

Development Responsibilities

• Participates on solution designs, implementation.
• Uses and follows guidelines, coding standards, design principles, and engineering guidelines.
• Follows recommendations from code reviews and technical design reviews to improve code quality, maintainability, security, performance, and consistency.
• Follows requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing and deployment.
• Finds opportunities to build reusable components, frameworks, patterns, and accelerators that improve delivery efficiency and reduce implementation effort across projects.
• Participate in knowledge transferring into the Development team.
• Responsibly embrace AI-assisted software development and automation practices to improve development efficiency, quality assurance, documentation, and engineering workflows.
• Works on technical estimations and supports the assessment of feasibility, complexity, risks, and dependencies for new opportunities.
• Follows technical governance by ensuring appropriate documentation, architecture decisions, development standards, and knowledge-transfer artifacts are produced and maintained.

Qualifications & Experience

• Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in consulting services and/or customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience in software development .
• Understanding of software engineering principles, build patterns, development methodologies, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience with source control, code review, testing strategies, CI/CD practices, release management, and production support.
• Ability to translate business and client requirements into robust technical designs and implementation specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently handle sophisticated technical challenges.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts efficiently to both technical and non-technical interested parties.
• Experience working with distributed or global teams is desirable.
• Experience with cloud technologies, APIs, integration architectures, messaging technologies, and modern software development frameworks is desirable.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools and their application is desirable.
• Experience in financial markets, financial technology, or LSEG products and solutions is an advantage.

 Delivers the services of the Customer Consulting team, including understanding clients’ business processes, market guidelines, and the products and services offered by LSEG.
