Specialist Project Management
Job Introduction:
Support EPI to Identify the project’s needs and ensure execution of engineering project to achieve defined targets (T/C/Q) at the overall Engineering project level. Lead the assigned Engineering project team and promote positive project culture (facilitates a professional collaboration). Promote process adherence and continuous improvement (reviews, lessons
learned.).
Major Responsibilities:
Align with EPI on project specific strategic topics and customer communication.
Support Acquisition and manage eQuote Phase in close cooperation with eProject Team, Sales, Program Management and responsible line management per engineering quote process.
Ensure nomination of an efficient and successful engineering project team of assigned Sub-Project
Preparation and support EPI of execution of GPMS Phase Reviews and participation in GPMS Gate Review meetings
Participate in internal audit and external audit in the context of Engineering Quality
Must have knowledge of ASPICE process
Sound knowledge of Project Execution Process, Product Development process and ASPICE compliant gate reviews
Establish and maintain an eProject time schedule for sub-projects based on master timing. Identify critical path and address corresponding risk. Communicate any changes or delays to EPI / Master timing.
Coordinate Engineering sub-project team, perform the activities of the project in accordance with the eProject Plan, identify deviations from the eProject Plan, lead countermeasure activities and escalate according to defined escalation procedure.
Coordinate risk identification and risk evaluation/analysis as well as countermeasure definition, planning, and execution for assigned sub-project. Regular monitoring and reporting of identified risk items.
Perform project marketing (achieve satisfaction with / acceptance of project results at project sponsor, customer, and project team)
Interface of Sub-project team to EPI and first level contact to program and customer for engineering relevant sub-project related topics (according to project specific communication agreement)
Ensuring resource planning using suitable measures and methods
Ensure project controlling for assigned Sub-project in terms of actuals vs. budget on a regular basis to identify deviations, avoid their occurrence and support claim management.
Support to Ensure efficient closure of the series development project and transfer of necessary activities to serial production support
Skills and competencies:
Breakdown of the objectives of the sub-project to relevant work package
Prioritize in terms of content, timing and budget within approved sub-project framework
Delegate work to assigned project members to ensure project milestones and quality objectives are met
Reject assignment of team members if they are not skilled properly
Decide on counter measures to get sub-project back on track within approved project framework (budget, timing, quality)
Escalate project deviations to EPI and management in accordance of escalation plan
Shift of Budget within Request additional budget in case of project deviations
Approval of work products acc. process definition
Participate in Quality audits and task force
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electronics/ Software)
Preferred if PMP or MBA
Work experience:
5+ years of experience as project management professionals.
