TITLE:  Specialist, Product

REPORTS TO: Associate Director, Product & Retail

CLASSIFICATION/FLSA STATUS: Full-time; Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Northwest

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Specialist, Product, supports the planning, coordinating, and executing Girl Scouts - Diamonds product programs. This role works closely with volunteers, caregivers, staff, and Girl Scouts to deliver engaging campaigns, provide exceptional customer support, and ensure operational excellence across all product program activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Program Coordination & Execution

· Coordinate regional product programs in alignment with GSDAOT strategy and GSUSA guidelines.

· Lead operations of the Northwest Arkansas regional cookie cupboard, including staff oversight, daily reconciliations, and volunteer support.

· Assist with volunteer-led cookie cupboards: training, inventory management, Baker software setup, and procedural enforcement.

· Support planning and execution of Girl Scouts Gives Back donations at the conclusion of the Cookie Program.

Volunteer Training & Support

· Facilitate engaging in-person and online training sessions for volunteers, staff, and caregivers.

· Act as liaison to volunteers to solicit and support robust cookie booth opportunities. 

· Maintain up-to-date contact information, position paperwork, and rosters for Service Unit Product Manager volunteers.

· Encourage, coach, and mentor volunteers and staff to ensure program success.

Customer Service & Communication

· Provide responsive support via the Product Program email inbox, Salesforce case queue,

and customer solutions catalog.

· Act as subject matter expert on sales platforms (M2OS, Digital Cookie, Baker Systems),

assisting volunteers, caregivers, and staff.

· Collaborate with MarComm to develop/update program guides, website content, and

printed materials.

Data & Systems Management
  • Maintain accurate data in product program platforms (sales, registered girls, delivery, debt, inventory, rewards, etc.).
  • Ensure accuracy of all product program transactions and safeguard assets (printed materials, inventory, and incentives).
  • Support the department’s financial, inventory management, and customer service goals.
  • View, decipher, and compile reports to monitor trends and support decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

· Work with the program department to develop financial literacy programming for Girls, helping ensure the program department is meeting the 5 skills of product program during Cookie Palooza/ Fall product kick-off events. 

· Support internal departmental processes and procedures to ensure consistency in program management.

Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree or higher with 1-3 years of work experience  

· Minimum of 1 year of experience?in external stakeholder engagement and/or customer service. ? 

· Demonstrated written and oral communication excellence.??? 

· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. ? 

· Ability to work with and manage a diverse group of staff,?volunteers, and vendors. ? 

· Strong attention to detail, skilled communication, and team-building skills. ? 

· Demonstrate knowledge of, or willingness to learn, Girl?Scout programs, principles, and standards. ?

Supervisor Accountabilities: None 

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Willingness to work on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

· Travel throughout council jurisdiction up to 20% of the time.

· Capability to provide your own transportation and maintain a valid operator's license.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to withstand: 

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Operate office equipment manually.

· Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds at times.
