  • Code Optimization: Develop, debug, and optimize DeltaV code and control strategies to maximize software and hardware stability.

  • Tech Transfer & NPIs: Lead engineering assessments, configure automation system modifications, and support clinical/engineering validation runs for new product introductions.

  • Issue Resolution: Lead complex root cause analysis (RCA), deviation investigations, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and equipment control systems.

  • Compliance & Audits: Maintain systems in a constant state of regulatory compliance and audit-readiness; actively participate in internal and external regulatory inspections.

  • Lifecycle Management: Own change control assessments, maintenance scheduling, and software development life cycle (SDLC) documentation.

  • Digital Innovation: Identify, design, and implement digital, paperless manufacturing solutions that support the facility's advanced automation vision.

  • Operational Excellence: Author detailed engineering specs, SOPs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (GEMBAs, Go-Sees).

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Automation, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on automation engineering experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS in a GMP-regulated (Biotech or Pharmaceutical) manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated success in process automation roles involving Tech Transfer, Process Design, and commissioning/qualification.

  • In-depth technical expertise in Batch Control Systems (ISA S88/S95), GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, Computer System Validation (CSV), and SDLC methodologies.

  • Proven capability in automation change control management, structured deviation management, and technical root-cause analysis.

Preferred

  • Multi-Platform Exposure: Practical experience integrating with Siemens OEM Automation and MES (PAS-X) systems.

  • Work Environment: Prior experience in a site-based Automation department or working within Self-Directed Work Teams (SDWTs).
