The role will be specifically for Western Asset, a globally integrated fixed income manager who is a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton. We are looking for a Specialist for the Global Trade Services (GTS) team.
Global Trade Services (GTS), part of the Investment Operations WAM Group, plays a critical role in reducing settlement risk across fixed income and equity products. The team works closely with brokers, custodians, front office, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely trade execution. Joining GTS offers exposure to global financial operations, collaborative project work, and opportunities to lead process improvements.
How You Will Add Value?Core Responsibilities:
You will confirm, affirm, and settle trades across US and global markets.
You will resolve failing trades and monitor mailboxes for critical inquiries.
You will manage daily operations and ensure service levels are met.
You will guide team members by tracking errors and conducting training.
You will support account onboarding and system maintenance.
You will use Omgeo CTM, Alert, TradeSuite, and FailStation platforms.
You will participate in onboarding meetings with front office and custodians.
Strategic Responsibilities:
You will lead trade-related initiatives with technology and project management teams.
You will resolve production issues affecting NAV, compliance, audit, and regulatory areas.
You will implement automation using Power BI and Alteryx.
You will analyze root causes and apply controls to reduce risk.
You will contribute to business continuity testing and system enhancement reviews.
You will support special projects and suggest workflow improvements.
Team & Collaboration:
You will coordinate workflows and review reports.
You will provide training and support staff development.
You will update policies and procedures.
You will collaborate with brokers, custodians, and internal teams for trade tracking.
Experience, Education & Certifications:
5–8 years of experience in investment management and trade settlement.
Exposure to fixed income and mutual fund operations.
Compliance knowledge is a plus.
Ability to take ownership and meet deadlines.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Power BI and Alteryx.
Strong understanding of trade settlement processes.
Familiarity with financial regulations.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and adaptability.
Work Shift Timing - 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST / 8:30 PM – 5:30 AM IST (Flexibility Required)
