This role sits on the North America Consumer Direct Marketing team which supports the key Marketplace account JD Sports. 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The NA Consumer Direct Marketing team focused on JD Sports is looking for a specialist who can help support the team in the execution of key Nike campaigns at JD Sports, including, but not limited to, retail executions across B&M/.com, paid media buys and organic social storytelling, and IRL activations. This role will also play an important part in helping to develop consumer right campaigns for JD with direction and partnership from the marketing manager and director.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Key Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the and helping to execute seasonal marketing plans in partnership with merchandising, planning and visual merchandising partners within the MPU; Brand teams; and existing teammates 
  • Help communicate plans before, during and after execution. Building on learnings from each project.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

  • NA CDM JD team: including other consumer leads, Visual Merchandising lead and Ops
  • Nike x JD MPU: Merchandising, Planning and Ops team 
  • NA Brand teams
  • NA Consumer Construct teams
  • JD partners: across marketing, planning, merchandising, partnership, e-comm and retail.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree and/or combination of education and 5-years relevant experience in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • A people-first approach that values diverse thought 
  • Retail and digital marketing experience
  • A strong understanding of the consumer, shopping behaviors and retail journeys
  • The ability to fail forward
  • Exceptional written, verbal, visual communication and presentation skills, with a high proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated 
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Pro-active problem solver, ability to assess an issue and develop action steps for resolution
  • An impeccable ability for balancing creativity with business needs
  • Able to work as part of a matrix, with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally towards a common goal
  • Can-do demeanor with shown ability of adapting to change in business needs or direction.
  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture along with a sense of humor and humility — ensuring team success, while having fun.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time when safe
