We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, hardworking people to join Alcon! As a Specialist 1 supporting our manufacturing team, you will be trusted to do machine set-ups and adjustments and solve routing operating problems, and you must also be able to understand and verify specifications, and evaluate product quality in Sinking Spring, PA.
In this role, a typical day will include:

Performing a variety of moderately skilled repetitive manual operations and/or operations involving the use of machinery or simple tools to exacting standards

Following strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
-
Having the ability to read and understand product specifications and documentation
-
Assisting in maintaining detailed product documentation and verification of applicable records
-
Leading all aspects of product quality during the manufacturing process

Diagnosing and solving standard operating problems
-
Assisting in training Operators I and II
-
Performing set-ups of machinery in the area which will include, calling up accurate programs, placing the correct tooling in the CNC turning center, acquiring raw materials with the accurate item number for that component, and loading the component into the CNC turning center
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
-
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

Work Hours: Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week: 5:00 PM EST - 5:00 AM EST (12-hour rotating day shift: 2 days on, 2 days off, and every other weekend)
